Assalamualaikum!
So…. just last week I went to Bangkok for a business trip. The flight time was a little bit tricky that I needed to do my prayer at the airport. I usually try my best to just pray at the hotel or other places, haha.

From what I found here, there are 3 muslim prayer rooms in Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Since I had luggage with me, and by the time I needed to do my prayer, the check-in counter for my flight hadn’t opened yet, so I chose to do Maghrib-Isya prayer at the prayer room that’s located at the Departure Transit Zone, that happened located near gate E, where my gate was.
So.. after I dropped my luggage, I went through the immigration process, officially exited from Thailand on paper. I will post the latest requirements to enter Thailand, especially for ASEAN citizens, later!
Look for Gate E!

FYI No Bidet in BKK 🥲
Yup.. you heard me right.. No bidet.. I was quite shocked myself as well, like, it’s still Asia but not bidet 🫠 Even the toilet that is dedicated for customers with special needs also doesn’t have a bidet. In Singapore, a bidet toilet in the airport is also rare, but they do still have it tho. As for BKK, I looked at several toilets and.. nope, no bidet.

If you know.. you know 🤣
No bidet no problem LOL
So yeah, I had to buy a bottled water, throw the water and refill it with tap water. Alhamdulillah, the shop was open already, it was around 3 AM 😂
Go downstair
Actually, they have the “Muslim prayer room” sign on their information boards. But I forgot to take a picture of it. Well, I asked the staff at the information desk, and she told me to go downstairs.
Not far from the escalator, there’s another information desk. Look for gate E!
Oman Air Lounge
Well, you don’t have to look for this lounge, but since this lounge sign is way more eye-catching than the prayer room, your eyes might see this first, haha.

So, the muslim prayer room (musholla / surau) is located right across this lounge.
Musholla / Surau
Alhamdulillah, now we arrive at the muslim prayer room! I believe it’s open 24 hours, but please do respect the rules here. Like, don’t sleep or eat inside. Since it was 3 AM, when I arrived there, the musholla was kinda empty.
They do provide you with the prayer clothes and mat. Please fold it and put it back in its place once you use it. Also.. BETTER CHECK YOUR WATCH. Their clock on the wall ran out the battery, so it was forever 3.30. My boarding time was 4.40. Since I saw the clock, it’s 3.30, I took my time to pray and refresh myself. Like, really took my time, lol. When I saw the time on my phone, it was 4.20 already 🫠🤣
Alhamdulillah, I still made it, hahaha.
Okay, it’s all for this post. If you find this post useful, please do share it and like it. Thank youuuuu
Till we meet again in another post~
